The Indian Retreat at the Countryside
is a Hermitage that captures the Goa of years gone by. The ethnic
cottages blend harmoniously into the lush, natural ambience that
surrounds them. The airy rooms are amply furnished to give you the
comforts of simple luxury while maintaining their rustic feel. Or
enjoy the exotic and romantic experience of an abode in the sky,
in Tarzan and Jane’s tree top hut at a little extra cost. Nestling
in this shy landscape, near the serene Chapora backwaters, you will

Godfrey's Indian Retreat.
The
Indian Retreat has 15 ethnic and spacious cottages which are
amply furnished. These cottages blend harmoniously into the
lush natural ambience of a 40 acre Organic farm surrounded by
the Sahyadhri Range, North Goa, India. Enjoy the luxury of Privacy.
The Ayurveda plantations pleasantly permits one to sleep anywhere
as the fragrance of these plants keep the mosquito away. The
double beds and twin beds are extra large with very comfortable
mattresses and loads of pillows. The attached bathrooms with
24 hours spring water supply and western toilets are immaculately
clean and are well designed with terracotta, lots of aromatic
flowers, large windows overlooking the landscape.
Each cottage is named after a fruit, being a horticulture
farm. Its cooler being 800 feet above sea level.
These Tarzan and Jane Tree Top huts are for the adventurous,
with attached toilets 25 feet high. The Tree Top hut has a loo
with a good view. |

Gourmet cuisine at the Poolside Shack -enjoy an all inclusive
candle lit dinner with the Catch of the Day - Lobsters or Tiger
Prawns served with a glass of excellent wine. The food is served
in traditional clay vessels and banana leaves. the serving spoons
are of coconut shells and bamboo. The Bar and Restaurant boast
of designer rustic tables and counters that blend well with
the ethnic set up. Standing tall are the antique large bottles
of the local brew - Cashew and Palm Feni. All drinks are accompanied
with roasted cashewnuts fresh from the farm.
The swimming pool is chlorine free having an ionizer and a filtration
plant. It is only 5 feet deep. 2 metres away is the reading
pool - an open air jaccuzzi. |
